Established in 1990 the business, in the experienced hands of Mark Pilfold since 2019, has been at the forefront of garage services in Sussex for many years. Since the previous owner Andy Melville retired in April 2019 Mark Pilfold has continued to build a specialist team of mechanics who are experienced in everything from everyday cars to Landrovers and classics.
Unlike most garages and car service centres, Motorline Engineering’s team has the skills and resources to service and repair both modern-day vehicles and classic cars. The company’s specialist car mechanics deliver quality repairs and servicing for new and heritage vehicles – affordably.
Conveniently located just off the A27 in Sussex, our workshops are close to Lewes and Brighton and easily reached from any part of the South East.
At Motorline Engineering, we are all car enthusiasts with many years of experience between us. We are the ultimate classic car lovers, and if you live in Sussex or the south of England, and have a prestige or classic car, you can be sure it will be perfectly cared for at Motorline.
Our engineers can advise you on restoration, repairs, MOTs, secure storage and even arrange transportation of your vehicle. Nothing is too much trouble, and you can relax with confidence in that your classic, sports or prestige car is in capable hands.
Motorline Engineering also work with local colleges to provide apprenticeship schemes for trainee mechanics. Our apprentices learn the sophisticated electronics and diagnostics needed for the maintenance of modern cars. In addition, our in-house team provide a much broader range of training, adding to the skills required to qualify as a modern and classic car mechanic.
We are committed to maintaining the heritage of classic cars, helping to ensure that these timeless and sought-after vehicles are preserved for future generations. Our workshops are fully equipped with the right tools and equipment essential for the upkeep and restoration of these timeless classics and sports cars as well as those known more frequently as prestige motors.
If you have a project to discuss, we would love to hear from you. In the meantime, why not have a look at our restoration gallery to see the most recent classic car restorations?
