Company history
Motorline was formed by Andy Melville over 18 years ago.
Andy's father was involved with the world of Theatre, at one stage Managing the Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End.
Andy's mother was an actress who spent much of her working life on the West End stage. She also spent many years working in the BBC 'rep' playing parts in countless Radio 4 dramas and popular 'regulars' such as Mrs Dale's Diary and The Archers. Her TV claims to fame were, amongst others, Emergency Ward 10 and Nanny.
Andy was encouraged to go into Theatre himself but had a burning interest in cars and motorbikes, probably kindled at school, followed by many years of amateur motorsport (more watching than partaking), which inevitably lead to a career in the Motor Trade.
Andy started in the motor trade with a mobile tuning franchise but soon his love of Classic vehicles prompted him to open a Garage in Firle, near Lewes, East Sussex, which is where MOTORLINE still operates from today.
