| When a car or a classic car comes in to Motorline for a service we have strict procedures that we follow. When the car or classic car is first booked in for servicing (assuming we haven’t seen it before), we take the registration number from which (with modern technology) we can obtain all the necessary information to order the correct parts for it (whenever possible we fit original equipment). At Motorline when servicing we take particular care to make sure we have the correct grade of oil for the engine as it seems that each new engine produced requires a different grade. Once in the workshop a job sheet is drawn up, the mileage noted, and we use specialist software to produce a service schedule which we follow to the letter. When servicing we always check the brakes and replace worn parts if needed. The customer is kept informed at all times, should we notice any extra parts that need to be replaced then we pass this on straight away. Finally the car or classic car is road tested on are private road at Motorline in Lewes by the workshop manager and we will draw up a list of suggested advisory points which we feel may need attention in the future. |
